Q: Where are you located?
A: Cayce, SC.
Q: Which languages are spoken at this office?
A: English and/or Spanish, as appropriate for the client.
Q: Which SC insurance plans do you accept?
A: Babynet, BCBS, First Choice-Select Health, Humana Healthy Horizons, SC Medicaid, and Tricare East.
BCBS plans accepted: BlueCross BlueShield SC Preferred Blue (includes Federal & PPO), BlueCross BlueShield SC State Health Plan, BlueCross BlueShield SC Blue Essentials (ACA/Health Exchange), BlueChoice HealthPlan SC Blue Option (ACA/Health Exchange), BlueChoice HealthPlan SC (commercial lines-HMO & PPO), and Healthy Blue (Formerly known as BlueChoice Medicaid). We are out of network with Ambetter.
Additional insurance plans may offer out-of-network benefits, depending on your plan. Private pay is also available.
Q: How do I initiate services?
A: You must request a referral from the Doctor. The referral can be faxed to 803-888-5029. Once the referral is received, you can obtain access to the patient portal to complete all intake forms. Once you receive the intake forms, you will have 14 days to complete them. Once all intake forms are complete, you may call to schedule an evaluation. If using insurance, please call your insurance provider to verify benefits before the evaluation.
Q: How do I know whether my child has a communication disorder?
A: The Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) will determine the diagnosis based on clinical observation, evaluation, and parent report.
Q: Where does the session take place?
A: Our office in Cayce, SC, or teletherapy from your home if you are located in SC or GA, provided your plan covers teletherapy. We do not provide itinerant services.
A: How do I start services?
Q: The first step is to request a prescription from your Pediatrician's office for Speech and Language evaluation and treatment which can be faxed to 803-888-5029. You may send an email to info@talkwithmespeechtherapy.com or call 803-200-2414 to request access to the secure patient portal where all electronic intake forms may be completed within 14 days of receiving the link.
Q: What is your cancellation policy?
A: Please call to cancel or reschedule one week in advance of the scheduled appointment (except for emergencies). Frequent no-shows and/or cancellations may result in removal from the schedule to allow others on the waitlist access to therapy.
